Opportunity available for a Licensed Social Worker or LCSW with a Master’s level Social Work degree to work with our Welcome House® Adoption Program. The Program Director is an integral member of our team with primary responsibilities for coordination of program licensure activities, assigned adoption programs from technical review and assessment of all program participant information and child referrals, through travel, post placement, and finalization requirements. In addition, the Program Director also supervises staff and interns, coordinates independent service providers’ tasks while managing program budget, work plans, contractual agreements, and conducts prospective adoptive parent information recruitment sessions. We do not currently offer paid internship positions, however interns are reimbursed for mileage related to field instruction assignments. Social Work Internship
The Welcome House Adoption Program of Pearl S. Buck International is seeking second year Masters level social work students to assist us in our work with adoptive families. All intern students are supervised by Masters level social workers. Learning opportunities may include working with parents and/or children in our Post Adoption Program, completing clinical assessments for prospective adoptive families, providing case management services, recruiting adoptive parents, and more.
