Adopting from the Philippines
Important Announcement: On December 17, 2010, the Intercountry Adoption Board (ICAB) announced a temporary moratorium to affect agencies that have submitted 10 or more dossiers per year for each of the past three years. The affected agencies are not able to submit dossiers for healthy children until ICAB ends the temporary moratorium. Agencies not affected by the above moratorium, including Welcome House, will be permitted to submit only 10 dossiers in 2011. Please contact us for an update on the status of our Philippines program waiting list.
Since the 1980s, Welcome House® has been finding families for children in the Philippines and is approved by the Intercountry Adoption Board of the Philippines government. This was a logical extension of the child assistance programs that we began in the Philippines in 1968. There are many children awaiting families, most of whom are boys, older children, children with special needs, and sibling groups. We hope you will consider adopting a child from the Philippines.
Our experienced staff in the U.S. will assist you with completing the necessary documents to complete the adoption and provide you with support throughout the process. You will be in good hands during your short visit to the Philippines to bring your child home.
