Children Waiting to be Adopted
In 1949, Welcome House® was founded with the goal of finding families for children who were considered "unadoptable" at the time. These children were typically older, non-Caucasian, and/or had special needs. Although the world has changed a great deal since that time, there are still older children, sibling groups, and children with special needs who are waiting for families both in the U.S. and around the world. Our commitment to these children continues today through our Waiting Child program.
Where are Waiting Children From? We receive referrals of waiting children from China, Korea and the Philippines.
