Over 220 attended the 11th Annual Taste of the World on Friday, May 15 to support the mission of Pearl S. Buck International. The crowd also came to taste their way around the world and to see who would take home the coveted title of Top Taste in the food competition as judged our celebrity judges featured on the right.

2015 Top Taste Entrée Winner: Carmel Kitchen with locations in Warrington and Allentown for their braised short ribs with creamy polenta.
2015 Top Taste Dessert Winner: The Lucky Cupcake Company in Pipersville and Peddler’s Village, Lahaska, PA for their Taste of Italy! Three mini cupcakes: Lemon cello, Tiramisu, and Chocolate Cannoli.

The guests served up their votes and named the Fan Favorites of the evening.
Fan Favorite Entrée: Quinoa Peruvian & Mexican Restaurant, Doylestown
Fan Favorite Dessert: Amy’s Creative Cakes of Quakertown
Fan Favorite Beverage: Brig O’Doon Coffee House, Ottsville, PA and Lansdale, PA

A special appeal during the event raised funds to enroll nearly 30 students in the Pearl S. Buck International high school leadership program at a nearby high school.

The event’s success rests with the dedicate team of volunteers, restaurants, sponsors and guests who came out in support of a mission that has improved the lives of over 2 million and thanks to the Taste of the World proceeds, will be touching the lives of many more this year.
