Author and Editor Anita Nolan will lead a year-long writing workshop taking participants through the complete novel-writing process. Write a Novel in a Year will meet for 8 teaching and 2 write-in sessions. It will also include a Yahoo Writing Group and an abbreviated Authors Tour of the Pearl S. Memoirs & Family Stories
3rd Mondays ~ 2/13; 3/17; 4/14; 5/19; 6/16; 7/21; 8/18; 9/15; 10/20 from 2 pm – 3:30 pm Workshop Fee: $150
Life’s stories, Adoption stories, Personal histories, Meet the Family Character, Tell your story. Pearl S. Buck wrote the biographies of her parents so that her children would know about them. Workshop will be lead by Linda C. Wisniewski who teaches memoir writing workshops throughout the Philadelphia area. She has published in newspapers, literary magazines and anthologies both print and online. Linda’s memoir, Off Kilter, was published in 2008 by Pearlsong Press and she was the 2012 adult category winner of the Pearl S. Buck Short Story Contest. Linda also writes for the Bucks County Herald and Bucks County Women’s Journal. ~ www.lindawis.com

Bring your writings, musings, and questions to the Writers Guild and in the editorial spirit of Miss Buck's second husband and publisher, Richard J. Walsh, enjoy advice, critiques, suggestions, and good conversations. Pearl S. Buck was a member and President of the Writers Guild of America. The writers guild will be lead by Dr. Anne K. Kaler, the Editor of the Writers Guild, is Professor Emerita of Literature at Gwynedd Mercy University and the East Coast Editor for Olive Branch Publishing, San Francisco. Dr. Kaler is an editor, published author, poet, and writing workshop presenter.

Workshop Fee: $30 per person
Writers Guild Editors, Dr. Anne Kaler, Linda Donaldson & Susan Wagner will show how to design, format, & market your completed writings into a self-published work, using their “Writers Who Quilt, Quilters Who Write” self-published CreateSpace book, now on-sale at Amazon.com and the Pearl S. Buck Gift Shop. Tips & Tricks about the Trade and Self-Publishing Costs are included.
