Pearl S. Buck enthusiasts, Welcome House® adoptive families and the entire Bucks County community will delight in the story of how Pearl S Buck engaged community members, including her friends, Oscar Hammerstein and James Michener, to create the nation’s first adoption agency committed to building families for mixed race children. The play has been performed in West Virginia near Pearl S. Buck’s birthplace multiple times to sold-out crowds.
